Just as I was leaving the last meeting of the Averill Woods Neighborhood Association, Rita Bunton handed me a postcard promoting her new book--The Battle Is Not Yours. The book is her life story and how she overcame several obstacles as a young black woman from a difficult background. I'm anxious to read the book and anxious to get to know Rita better.
